But never compromised with the government of the day He awakened among the Muslims awareness about education, politics and economy.
It’s not a Muslim party,” …”Who has given them (critics) the right to call me secular or communal or anti-national?” However, he forgets that the literal translation of All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul- ul-Muslimeen is “All India Council for Unity of Muslims”. He will be contesting around 25 seats in Tamil Nadu next year.
Like other national parties fielding the token Muslim, Owaisi has fielded a few Hindus in various local and state elections to dilute his hard core Islamic image.
Of course, given that (along with Junagadh’s nawab, who had similar aspirations) the Nizam’s territory did not share a border with Pakistan, this also finally meant seeking another Muslim dominion — this one within India.
It is Rizvi who set up the Muslim separatist group of the Razakars. This dream was fulfilled by his eminent son and a man with vision and conviction, Salar-E- Millath Alhaj Sultan Salahuddin Owaisi, Member of Parliament and president of Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen.
The MIM’s tally then had dropped to one seat but in 1999 it regained its domination.
This time, the MIM has not fielded its two senior leaders Ahmed Pasha Quadri and Mumtaz Ahmed Khan.
In addition to the seven seats, the MIM is also contesting Jubilee Hills and Rajendranagar, which have sizable Muslim voters. In 2018, the MIM did not field its candidate from here, apparently to help its friendly party BRS.
The MIM has given the ticket to M.
Swamy Yadav in Rajendranagar. As even before Independence, the Majlis became a highly violent force to reckon with, assassinating reasonable Muslim leaders in the Congress, burning down residences of British administrators, and so on, the moderates in the party gradually distanced themselves from the Majlis and sought other avenues to pursue their politics.
From All India Muslim League to the Republic Party of India, outfits were launched to seek national clout and proportional power share at the Centre and the states. The dream having been put into reality, the hospital is dedicated to Late Fakhr-E-Millath Hazrath Maulana Abdul Wahed Owaink

Physics says every action has an equal and opposite reaction.
Bengal has over 27 percent Muslim voters.
Owaisi is expected to split these traditionally pro-TMC votes, compelling Mamata Banerjee to nickname AI MIM, the BJP’s B-team. However, family ownership of the party isn’t Asaduddin’s only qualification to claim the credible minority leader position. They terrorised, looted, raped and murdered thousands of Hindus.
Over 18 years, he transformed AI MIM into a formidable political empire. After a prolonged legal battle le successfully wrested the control of Dar-Us-Salam and turned it into a center for Muslims.
Hazrath Maulana Abdul Wahed Owaisi had a dream: advancement of Muslims in every walk of life: political, education and economics. The Indian Army put down the rebellion and Rizvi was jailed.
Before leaving for Pakistan in 1957, he chose Abdul Wahid Owaisi as his successor.
A well known lawyer in those days, Abdul Wahid Owaisi converted it into a political party to fight for the rights of the minorities as enshrined in the Indian Constitution.
From municipal wards in the old city of Hyderabad to two Lok Sabha seats in 2019, the MIM has come a long way in its six-decade-long journey in independent India.
More than three decades after first winning the Hyderabad seat, the party expanded itself in the true sense in 2019 by wresting Aurangabad seat in Maharashtra from the Shiv Sena.
The party now has 10 MLAs – seven in Telangana, two in Maharashtra and one in Bihar.
This time, in the neck-and-neck battle between the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) and the Congress, the MIM is siding with the former.
Though a resurgent Congress and a possible division of Muslim votes may make things difficult for the MIM in a couple of constituencies, it is difficult to predict if its tally of seven seats will come down this time.
The Asaduddin Owaisi-led party appears to be facing a tough battle in Nampally constituency.
Owaisi is, perhaps, channeling Jinnah who said, “expect the best, prepare for the worst.” His best tactic is to prepare himself as a minimised Minority Modi — a combination of irresistible ideology and articulate ambition. After tasting victories in Maharashtra and recently in Bihar, he now has West Bengal in his sights. Through his acumen and efforts the Majlis-E-It- ehadul Muslimeen achieved the status of a political force and a voice.
Both the seats are currently held by the BRS.
The party has fielded its corporator Mohammed Rashed Farazuddin from Jubilee Hills, where former Indian cricket captain Mohammed Azharuddin is the Congress candidate. Grandfather Owaisi added ‘All India’ to Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen to acquire pan-India Muslim connectivity and became the undisputed leader of the Muslims settled in and around Hyderabad.
Mohammed Feroz Khan, who unsuccessfully contested every election since the constituency was created in 2009, had come closer to ending the virtual monopoly of MIM in 2018, losing to Jaffer Hussain by a margin of 9,675.
Khan is confident of a win this time and he is banking on the work he has done in the constituency to help people despite the defeats.
