    Rep. Gene Green, a Democrat who is retiring from Congress.[5][6] On December 1st, 2017, he announced that he is running for Congress for the 29th Congressional District, Texas.[1] Tahir Javed secured 20.7% of the vote, running as the only non-Latino candidate in Texas’s 29th House District. He has, over the years, emerged as one of the most popular opinion makers in Pakistan and has been contributing his intellects to the vernacular press.

    Career

    Tahir Javed started working at a convenience store in Beaumont, Texas, and then in 1992 started his own distribution company called Starco Impex Inc.[3] Tahir Javed is also the CEO and president of Riceland Healthcare.[1]

    Javed was also criticized for doing nothing, during popular stand-off between Qadir Mandokhail and Firdous Ashiq Awan which led to Awan slapping Mandokhail, on his show.[24] In 2019, he published alleged interview of by-then NAB chairman Javed Iqbal in his column published in Daily Express,[25] which NAB called fake and untrue.[26]
