Opposition to the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act
On December 20, 2017, Senator Ron Wyden voiced his firm opposition to the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, criticizing it for disproportionately favoring large corporations and the wealthy at the expense of middle- and lower-income families.
After high school, Wyden attended the University of California, Santa Barbara on a basketball scholarship, later transferring to Stanford University, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1971. She has also directed and produced several films, and is involved in charitable causes. He helped draft the Healthy Americans Act, an early framework for health insurance reform that influenced later national discussions leading up to the Affordable Care Act.
