Ram Madhav is an Indian politician, social leader, author and thinker.

He worked as a journalist for over 20 years with RSS sponsored publications and authored more than twelve books His latest is Uneasy Neighbours: India and China after Fifty Years of the War.

He also serves as the Director of the India Foundation, an independent thinktank focused on the issues, challenges and opportunities of the Indian polity.

He is a former member of the National Executive of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. 

Shri Ram Madhav was born in Amalapuram in the East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh on 22 August 1964. He volunteered to be a full-time worker for RSS in 1981. His appointment was part of the BJP’s efforts to strengthen its presence in the region, especially after the abrogation of Article 370, which granted special status to Jammu and Kashmir[1].
