I am not a huge beachgoer but certainly love to sit and listen to the waves. Then, of course, Tavern’s Crystal Room was ‘the place’ to get married. Why do you love it so much?
Jennifer Oz LeRoy: I grew up coming to Amagansett my entire childhood. She called Oz Farm home while she did large event production and consulted on various properties.
I really love what I do; I’m really happy to be doing it.”
And when it comes time for her own wedding? Then there are fun photoshoot ideas: I love it when a bride brings here riding boots and has pictures of her holding up her dress and wearing her boots underneath. We’ve done this at Oz Farm and it’s great!
It was my dads first restaurant in NYC!

When it comes to weddings, Jennifer Oz LeRoy is the woman behind the curtain: She’s using her vast experience in the wedding and event industry to pull strings as a wedding planner and make brides’ dreams come true at her very own magical land of Oz Farm.
Mervyn LeRoy produced The Wizard of Oz and is credited with discovering Clark Gable, Loretta Young, Robert Mitchum and Lana Turner.
Her great-grandfather, Jack Warner, is one of the Warner brothers behind Warner Bros. My parents ‘discovered’ the Hamptons in the mid 70’s – I have always considered the Hamptons my home and where I grew up.
Much like her grandfather’s famous heroine, Jennifer LeRoy has emerged from a personal whirlwind and woken up to a world of vibrant possibility. First to Jennifer’s mind was a ring featuring horse hair: Scandinavian company nannasalmi can create beautiful jewelry around your own horse’s hair. “I wanted to own a place where I could wake up and see my horses, but was still close to New York City.”
Oz Farm
Jennifer purchased a farm in Saugerties, near the HITS showgrounds.
I recently was once again allowed to use the name outside of New York, NJ, Conn and Pennsylvania.
The farm is available for weddings, events and horseback riding.
Jennifer Oz Leroy owns Oz Farm in Saugerties. “The thing about brides is that there are so many different types,” she said.

Jennifer Oz LeRoy’s middle name is Oz for a reason.
Both of my sisters got married there, and as I got older all of my friends wanted to get married there. “I was CEO until 2010, when we lost the lease and the city wanted to go in another direction.” But instead of being a pitfall, her change of course eventually led to her Emerald City.
Horses have been in Jennifer’s life about as long as the restaurant business has.
In her grandfather Mervyn’s most famous film, a tornado transports its young protagonist from a monochromatic existence on a Kansas farm to a technicolor world of unprecedented fantasy and wonder.
