George Will Family
Will was born in Champaign, Illinois, to Louise and Frederick L. Will. From 1977 through 1984, Will was a regular panelist on television's Agronsky & Company. His proposals were to minimum wage and create voluntary personal retirement accounts in order to reduce the federal cost of Social Security.
Before him are Geoff Johns (1973), Bryan Konietzko (1975), Gayle Forman (1970), Josh Schwartz (1976), Larry Christiansen (1956), and Michael Savage (1942). That year he also began making appearances on the political talk show Agronsky & Company.
Moreover, he has also published three books on political theory, Statecraft as Soulcraft: What Government Does (1983), The New Season: A Spectator’s Guide to the 1988 Election (1987), and Restoration: Congress, Term Limits and The Recovery of Deliberative Democracy (1992).
He is a columnist and a winner of the Pulitzer Prize. He attended high school at University Laboratory High School of Urbana, Illinois. Will won the Pulitzer Prize for Commentary in 1977. He furthered his education in England where George attended Magdalen College, Oxford, and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in philosophy, politics, and economics.
Most recently, Will has published a book such as A Nice Little Place on the North Side: Wrigley Field at One Hundred (2014).
As a libertarian conservative, George opposed both Barak Obama’s and George W. Bush’s stimulus plans. Currently, he is working for Newsweek, Fox News, and The Washington Post.
In 2013, he wrote a proposal by “relentlessly liberal” Sherrod Brown to break up consolidated banks and finance industry conglomerates, ending “too big to fail” by restoring the Glass-Steagall Act. Will has received numerous awards for his work, including the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2005.
On Today, Morning Joe, and The 11th Hour, he is anticipated to deliver regular political commentary.
