After New York, in 1916, he moved to London where he enrolled at the Bar at Gray’s Inn and also at the London School of Economics.
He also tried to set up an investment consulting business, but soon lost clients when they found out about his ‘untouchable’ status.
In 1918, he became Professor of Political Economy at the Sydenham College in Bombay. Indeed, the Muslims have all the social evils of the Hindus and something more. He strongly criticised orthodox Hinduism and the caste system in particular.

Shortly after his conversion to Buddhism, he died in his sleep on 6 December 1956 at his home in Delhi. He studied Buddhism throughout his life and in the 1950s spent more time studying Buddhism, travelling to Sri Lanka and attending Buddhist conferences.
