But unfortunately I’m only like that with myself.’
Two Annes
The cause of the conflict more or less resolved itself: Anne fell out of love. While she was born, dramatic changes happened in German society which disturbed her happy family members. At the end of the war, Otto, father of Frank, was the only survivor of the concentration camps and returned back to his home in Amsterdam and searched for his family in all possible ways.
She was one of the most famous Jewish victims of the Holocaust during World war II. About Anne Frank and her work in the diary of Anne Frank has been read by millions of people. Before long, they were joined by four more people. "He was very pleased," she said.’

A strong opinion about others
When Anne went to secondary school, she had to take the tram.
The hiding place was cramped. During the two years in hiding, Anne wrote about events in the Secret Annex, but also about her feelings and thoughts. They arrived at the new spot through the passenger train on 8th August 1994. When Anne had to give a talk about the Roman emperor Nero, she even wanted to go beyond the material covered in her history book.
Nazi government forced Frank and her sister to study in segregated Jewish schools.
Even at that time, Otto managed to keep the whole control of his company and officially signed ownership over to two of his Christian associates, Jo Kleiman and Victor Kugler. I liked to be with her, too, but sometimes I just had other things to do.'
The Benjamin of the Secret Annex
And then, all contact with her friends came to an abrupt end.
In the company of others, the superficial Anne was dominant, while she would so much like to show her serious side.
The police also arrested two of the helpers. Anne Frank died in February 1945. Otto mentioned in Anne Frank diary that it is possible for them at that time to start over and feel free to move to a new place. Margot’s friend Laureen Nussbaum recalled: ‘Anne was always surrounded by other children, boys and girls, and was always the centre of attention.’
Jacqueline van Maarsen was one of Anne’s friends from school.
After the Westerbork and Auschwitz camps, she ended up in Bergen-Belsen. Anne’s sister Margot was three years her senior. She was 15 years old.
