For four years, he served as a Board Member and subsequently Chairman of the Board at Vaekstfonden, Denmark’s sovereign wealth fund with a focus on early-stage and fund investments.

Tue spent his early career advising major multinationals across Europe with McKinsey & Co’s Copenhagen and London offices.

In 1998 Tue started work at Goldman Sachs in London, before moving to McKinsey & Co. Management Consultants in 1999.

In 2002 an accidental fire ravaged the Triumph factory and completely halted production. Prior to his position at McKinsey, Mr. Mantoni was employed with Goldman Sachs in London - one of the leading global investment banking, securities and investment management firms.

After two years as a non-Executive Board Director, Tue transitioned to CEO & President of B&O, a role he held over five years.

Today, Tue holds Board Member and Chairman positions for cutting-edge apparel & lifestyle (GUBI, Stine GOYA), consumer electronics (Soundboks), and food & beverage businesses (Lakrids by Bülow, Joe & The Juice, The Organic Crave Company) based in Copenhagen.

Tue is the best-selling author of “Samfundskontraten” (“The Social Contract”), an exploration of the relationship between business and society through study of the current Danish entrepreneurial ecosystem and detail of its near-future potential.

Mantoni was previously senior consultant and project leader with McKinsey & Co. in London, England - with an emphasis on sales and marketing related projects, specializing in growth strategies for global brands. In this position Tue Mantoni will oversee the commercial strategy of Triumph worldwide including all sales and marketing related activities.

Following six months of extensive strategy, organization and operational project work with Triumph as the senior consultant and project leader with McKinsey & Co.

- a leading management consulting firm - Mr. Mantoni was recruited to the Commercial Director post by John Bloor, owner of Triumph Motorcycles Limited. In July 2008 he was appointed as the company’s first CEO, with overall responsibility for all the company’s activities.

Tue lives in Oxfordshire with his wife and two young daughters.

Born in Denmark, Mr. Mantoni holds an MBA from the Leonard N. Stern Business School, New York University. He was born in 1975 in Copenhagen, Denmark and now permanently resides in the UK, working out of Triumph’s HQ and manufacturing base, situated in Hinckley, Leicestershire.

Tue’s career as a marketer began at the Copenhagen Business School, after which he won a coveted place to further his education at the prestigious Stern Business School in New York.

Tue Mantoni Recruited to New Global Sales and Marketing Post


Triumph Motorcycles (America) Ltd., announces the appointment of Tue Mantoni to the newly created position of Commercial Director for Triumph Motorcycles Limited.

Triumph’s owner, John Bloor, saw this as an opportunity to review the whole motorcycle marque’s operations from engineering and production through to marketing. McKinsey & Co. were brought on board with the allotted team being led by Tue. Following the conclusion of the project Tue joined Triumph as a permanent member of staff, taking on the role of Commercial Director and the responsibility of overseeing Triumph’s global sales and marketing performance, including Triumph’s global network of subsidiaries and distributors.

Under Tue’s management, Triumph has accrued a number of distinctions including the British Brand of the Year award in 2005, an accolade made possible by the brand’s turnaround following the factory fire, impressive sales performances and sustained growth, but most importantly a strong and dedicated company work force.

In his new role with Triumph, Mr. Mantoni will oversee and work closely with each of the subsidiaries marketing and sales teams.

Tue Mantoni

Tue Mantoni is Triumph Motorcycles’ Chief Executive Officer.

His interests and hobbies include long distance running, adventure skiing and riding his Triumph Bonneville.

Mr. Mantoni joined Triumph as Commercial Director on August 1, 2003 and has been traveling around the world meeting with each of the subsidiaries. During his 8-year tenure, Triumph saw tremendous growth, leading to his concurrent appointment to the Board of Directors at Bang & Olufsen, a high-end Danish consumer electronics business (“B&O”).

After spearheading a successful brand rebirth and business strategy transformation for his client, Triumph Motorcycles, Tue accepted an offer to become CEO of the company. He continued, "During this past year Tue, working with the McKinsey & Co., established corporate strategic growth plans for Triumph along with worldwide marketing goals. Residing in London, his office is at the Triumph Motorcycles headquarters in Hinckley, England.
