Previously, from December 2013 until December 2015, he worked for 21st Century Fox as a Television News Reporter in the Tampa, St. Petersburg, Florida area.
Pat attended Louisiana State University from 2003 to 2007, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences in History and Broadcast Journalism. He's worked at WBRZ for 40 years.

Pat most recently received first prize in the Breaking Weather category in 2011 after being honored for his weather presentations by the Louisiana Associated Press.
He was born in the United States to his mother and father in Ellwood City, Pennsylvania. Mabyn is an advertising professional from the United States.
Mrs. In addition, he was named best in the state in 1991, 1993, 1994, 1997, 2000, 2001, 2002, and 2009. He was the President of Pat Shingleton Productions, where he produced, distributed, and syndicated productions like We Play Baton Rouge, The Fifth Quarter, and Hotline After Dark.
Pat is active in various community initiatives as part of his job as a weathercaster for WBRZ.
WBRZ presently employs him as a community service ambassador. He was located in Baton Rouge and Los Angeles. Before joining WBRZ, he worked as a weathercaster for KQTV-TV in St. Joseph, Missouri.
In addition, from May 2005 until November 2007, he worked as a News Editor at WBRZ-TV.
On January 29, 2021, he retired as a weatherman to spend more time with his family and baby grandchild.

Pat Shingleton
Pat Shingleton is a former American weathercaster who worked at WBRZ for 41 years.
On December 12, 1950, he was born in Ellwood City, Pennsylvania, in the United States of America. He’s still collecting Coats for Kids and helping to Fill a Prescription for the Needy every year.
Since leaving Channel 2, Shingleton’s legacy at WBRZ lives on. Pat later attended Gannon University in Erie, Pennsylvania, and earned a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from Point Park University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
1985 until 2000, he was also a Co-Owner of ZeeZee Gardens Restaurant and Pub in Baton Rouge, Los Angeles. The duo's son Michael is a host at WBRZ-Channel 2 and often works alongside Pat.

“There's no better example of a community relation than WBRZ Channel 2 and this family," Shingleton said.
Shingleton and his daughter in-law sat down for a live interview earlier this week as WBRZ celebrated its 70th anniversary with Retro Week.
At 74, Shingleton said he is spending more time with his family, including his grandchildren.
"I think I'm good for another 26 years by the time I hit 100, it might be a little bit dicey,” he joked.
