Moore has been represented by many of the top galleries in the field, including: Schantz Gallery in Stockbridge, MA; Holsten Galleries in Santa Fe, NM; and Butters Gallery Ltd in Portland, OR.

On June 25, 2021, Moore passed away at the age of 69.

Life and Writings

Epictetus was born in the 50s CE in Hierapolis, a considerable Greek-speaking town in the region of Phrygia, in what is now southwestern Turkey.

Influenced by Venetian traditions in glass, he relies on simple, clean shapes in pure color and very little surface decoration. Moore spent two years sweating alongside the Murano factory workers, developing personal relationships, and accessing some of the technical secrets kept from most outsiders. These passions and the people he shared them with guided his work and his life for decades, bringing richness and connection wherever he went.

Eventually Epaphroditus freed Epictetus, and the latter began teaching independently in Rome. have correspondences in the Diss. Simple geometric shapes, such as the sphere and the cylinder, are often referenced in the execution of my work. Four books of the Diss. are preserved. There, he learned about glass through Professor Marvin Lipofsky.
