Patrick Lamboi     (Board Of Director)

Patrick F.

Lamboi has worked for several humanitarian and developmental organizations in Sierra Leone. He is the currently the Deputy Spokesperson for the Ministry of Information and Communication of the Government of Sierra Leone. Through his pointed writings, mostly political features, he soon established himself as one of the best columnists that won the hearts of the reading public.

A few years later, he travelled abroad in pursuit of more academic accolades after he had made a niche in civil society activism under the umbrella of Campaign for Good Governance (CGG) as Information and Research Officer.

It therefore came as no surprise that when the APC came into governance in 2007 amidst the puerile insinuations on the part of the main opposition party that the party lacked the cadre of academics and professionals required to run the state, then, Bayraytay left Canada and joined the bandwagon of other professionals for state governance.

As spokesman and senior foreign policy adviser at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Bayraytay in no little measure immensely contributed to the rebranding of the country using both his local and international connections.

Known for his public oratory since his student days at FBC, the eloquent Bayratay continues to inform the public and always defend Government on critical issues that the opposition would want to use to blackmail the Dr.

Ernest Bai Koroma-led administration.

His honesty and straightforwardness of speech and behavior continue to make it extremely difficult for the opposition members to overcome him in public debates in the media and at public for a as he continues to be very sensitive to immediately reacting to negative reports published by opposition newspapers in an attempt to besmirch the good work of the President and the Government.

This is where I doff my hat to the late Hon.

Musa Tamba Sam (May his soul rest in perfect peace), the former National Publicity Secretary of the main opposition SLPP, himself a shrewd public orator, for his sincerity in saluting the admiration he had for Bayraytay’s public oratory. He was also selected to contribute as a mentor at the 1st Irmas International Youth media Summit in Reseda, Los Angeles in 2006.

Projects implemented included community water sanitation projects, infrastructural development, emergency response (including relief aid assistance following mine related disasters) and involuntary resettlement of mine project-affected communities.  Prior to holding the position as Community Development Supervisor, he held the position of Environmental Health and Safety Supervisor (Head of Environmental Section) where he demonstrated excellent environmental management skills within the framework of the SRL Environmental and Social Action Plan (ESAP) and best practiced guidelines such as World Bank’s IFC EHS guidelines and ISO 14000 & 14001.

Between 2004 and 2006, Mr.

Kallon worked as Environmental Officer at CEMMATS Group Ltd., Sierra Leone’s largest engineering firm that handles complex projects in engineering and environment and socio-economic development issues. Abass was a research consultant for Partnership Africa Canada through NMJD,  as well as successfully consulted by the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) Canada, on the Role of Knowledge Management and Organizational Learning on two Ethical initiatives, Arms and the Kimberley Process Certification Scheme (KPCS).  Mr.

Abass Kamara was also consulted by Action Plus, an NGO in Sierra Leone for the Simplification of the Gender Act including; Domestic Violence Act of 2007,  Registration of Customary Marriages and Divorces Act 2007, and the Devolution of Estates Act 2007. Abdulai Bayraytay is appointed Senior Policy Adviser at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Republic of Sierra Leone, and became the Personal Assistant to and Spokesman of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation  since May, 2008.

His outstanding and exhaustive contribution to the Communications and development sector has been demonstrated in his involvement in Working with B-Gifted Foundation's gender-based violence programs and also reporting on case study based on qualitative and quantitative data collected from literature reviews and field research conducted across Sierra Leone in 2009.
