Guide students in organizing information with a graphic organizer

Provide a simple chart or worksheet for students to record facts about their changemaker. Students begin to understand in middle school that sources are concepts that familiar, but now they are named.

They enhance the poster by symbolizing or illustrating important facts about the figure. I tell them to first, choose a category. It is important that some sort of assessment occurs at the end of any unit. When we get to a place where most people have a working draft, I like to hand out a peer review form to provide a checklist for revision. This example focuses on the life of Nelson Mandela, and can be used as a guide to show students what is possible.
