In 2014, Blom won the third Jean-François Prat Prize for contemporary art in Paris, and in 2016, he was included in a group exhibition as part of the fifth edition of the prize at the Palais de Tokyo in Paris.
Monochrome Paintings, his second solo exhibition in New York, took place at signs and symbols (2022).

Blom was born in 1982 in Pretoria and lives in Cape Town.
