HYDERABAD: A local court dismissed a case filed by Hyderabad police against former minister T Srinivas Yadav’s son Kiran Yadav and seven BRS activists for unlawful assembly and public nuisance citing glaring contradictions in the prosecution’s evidence, procedural lapses, and doubts over the authenticity of the submitted material.

The complaint alleged that on the morning of the incident, around 400 persons on two-wheelers had gathered at Ghasmandi in Secunderabad.

In its judgment, the court stated, “The prosecution has failed to establish a clear and conclusive link between the accused and the alleged acts of obstruction or public nuisance. He contested the 2019 general elections from the Secunderabad constituency but was defeated by the BJP union minister G. Kishan Reddy in a close contest.

Soon after his political debacle, reports of Talasani Sai Kiran’s Tollywood debut made the rounds in film and political circles.

Tentatively titled Cult, the film is in the pre-production phase, and a formal announcement on this project will be made soon.

Talasani Sai Kiran initially followed his father Srinivas Yadav’s footsteps and tried his luck in politics.

The court noted that the investigating officer had failed to seize critical physical evidence from the scene of the alleged crime. Sai Kiran is reportedly turning producer with young hero Vishwak Sen’s upcoming movie. The participants, carrying TRS (now BRS) party flags, were reportedly raising slogans in support of former minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav, obstructing public movement and causing a nuisance on the road.

The prosecution case was weakened by the testimony of an independent witness, who did not support their claims.

Suspicion, no matter how strong, cannot replace concrete, legally admissible proof.”

The police had registered the case under Sections 143 (unlawful assembly), 341 (wrongful restraint), 188 (disobedience to orders by public servants), and 290 (public nuisance) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) but the case fell apart on account of lack of evidence.

Lost In Elections, Producing Vishawak Sen’s Cult?

If the latest buzz in Tollywood circles is to be believed, former BRS minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav’s son Talasani Sai Kiran Yadav is all set to enter the Telugu film industry.

Sai Kiran reportedly considered debuting in showbiz as an actor but decided to turn producer eventually.

Talasani Srinivas Yadav had served as the state Cinematography Minister during the BRS regime. Despite losing power, he continues to have a close rapport with several Tollywood celebrities, which will come in handy for his son in his stint as a producer.
