Film career

He has debuted in 1951 with the film Manavathi directed by Y.V.Rao (Yaragudipati Varada Rao) and produced by his friend A.Sankara Reddy from his native district, Nellore.

She says the siblings grew up with an artistic temperament. He held the position of Secretary for AICC (All India Congress Committee) in 2001. T. Pattabhirama Reddy, a filmmaker, is also connected to him.

The chairperson of the company he formed, Gayatri Projects Ltd., is his wife, T. Indira Subbarami Reddy.

Early life

Ramana Reddy or T. V. Ramana Reddy or Thikkavarapu Venkata Ramana Reddy (1 October 1921 – 11 November 1974) was an Indian film, character actor, comedian and producer known for his works predominantly in Telugu cinema.

T Subbarami Reddy often abbreviated TSR, completed schooling at the age of 14 in Nellore. This T. Ramana Reddy is his uncle. in physics at Hyderabad’s Nizam College. He later helped in funding the Bollywood and Tollywood films Dilwaala and Jeevana Poratam respectively in the year 1983.

In 1989, TSR produced Chandini and State Rowdy.

He is the adviser of many committees including Civil Aviation (1999-2000), Road Transport and Highways (2004), Coal and Steel Committee (chair since 2009). He is also the founder of "Gayatri holdings" which actively involved in the diversified businesses. Gold Medal honored him by the former P.M Smt Indira Gandhi for his outstanding and remarkable achievement of building the biggest dam in the world named  (Nagarjuna Sagar Project) in 1967 in Andhra Pradesh.

He has also had active participation for other societies such as he was the chairman of T.T.D (Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam Board) since the year 2004 and he remained on the post of chairman for National Film Award Jury in the years 1994 and in 1997.

He drifted towards cultural and spiritual events after producing these films. He breathed his last on 11th November, 1974.
