Since the fall of 2003 he recorded several albums like the live recorded “Peppino Di Capri in Tour”, “Napoli ieri Napoli oggi” an anthology with 80 of his best songs from 1970 to 2003 and some songs of the Neapolitan folk tradition.

He won the prestigious Festival della canzone italiana ("Festival of Italian song", better known as the San Remo Festival) in 1973, with the song "Un grande amore e niente più" ("A great love and nothing more").

The same year, he released the song "Champagne" that was a big hit in Italy, Germany, Spain and Brazil.

So, in the fall of ’58 he recorded his first album with his band “The Rockers” and songs like “Malatia”, “Let Me Cry” and “Nun è Peccato” gave them instant success. In fact, he comes from a family of musicians; his father Bernardo had a record store and played various musical instruments. The couple was together for about forty years and had two children: Edoardo, born in 1981, and Dario, born in 1986.

After that, he recorded “Juke-Box”, “Champagne”, “Amore.it”, “Ad Occhi Chiusi… Napoli”. By the end of the year 2015 he is cast in the movie “Natale col Boss”, playing the role of both a mob boss and himself.

In 1991, Peppino represented Italy in the Eurovision Song Contest with the song "Comme è ddoce 'o mare," showcasing his enduring talent and versatility.

During this time, he became a frequent performer at the Sanremo Music Festival, one of Italy's most prestigious music competitions.

Peppino's involvement in the Sanremo Music Festival spanned several decades. Their work was well received, particularly in Brazil, thanks to the large Italian immigrant community in the country.

The 1970s saw Peppino with a new band, the New Rockers.

He also launched “50˚”, a 2 DVD set with a live concert at the Parco della Musica of Rome on one disc and a selection of his best TV performances since the ’60 on the other disc.

Between 2007 and 2010 he composed the soundtrack for the fiction “Capri” and the 12 songs album “Magnifique with Orchestra”.

In 1965 he opened the concerts of the only Italian tour of The Beatles.

This “child prodigy” used to play, during the weekends, for General Clark and the American troops stationed in Capri and this influenced deeply all of his musical career. In November of the same year he finished the album “L’Acchiappasogni”, with 13 new songs. In 1978, after obtaining a divorce, Peppino di Capri married Giuliana Gagliardi, a Neapolitan biology student.
