Martin Garrix (born 14 May 1996) is a Dutch DJ and producer.

After rising to prominence with his chart-topping single “Animals” Garrix has helped to reshape the global electronic dance music scene, emerging as one of the industry’s most sought-after talents.

Garrix was one of the trailblazers of the Dutch electronic dance music explosion which took place in the early 2010s and he is known for his special blend of progressive house, Dutch house, EDM and deep house.

Since establishing himself as one of dance music’s biggest talents, the Dutch DJ and record producer has been placed as number one on the DJ Mag annual list of the top 100 DJs in the world four times.

With collaborations with the likes of David Guetta, Khalid, Dean Lewis and Dua Lipa to his name, Garrix continues to dominate a musical movement he helped to shape.

Early life and background

Martijn Gerard Garritsen was born on 14 May 1996 to parents Gerard and Karin Garritsen (find out more about Dutch names here).

He, along with Zubyr Soomro at United Bank and Muhammad Mian Soomro at National Bank of Pakistan, were "successful in bringing the nationalised commercial banks (NCBs) back from virtual extinction."

Second Tenure as Finance Minister (2021–2022)

Shaukat Tarin was appointed FederalMinister for Finance and Revenue on 16 April 2021 by Prime MinisterImran Khan, replacing Hammad Azhar as the fourth financeminister under the PTI administration amid escalating economic challenges, including a current accountdeficit, rising importbill, and stalled IMF talks.^[36] His constitutional six-month limit without a parliamentary seat expired on 16 October 2021, after which he served as Adviser to the Prime Minister on Finance and Revenue until elected to the Senate from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on 20 December 2021, with formal oath as minister on 27 December.^[37][38][15]Tarin's priorities centered on fiscal stabilization, revenue mobilization, and restoring creditor confidence.
