This video (transcript below) was translated from a video posted on YouTube on May 25, 2011, by a female Kuwaiti activist and former candidate for Kuwaiti parliament, Salwa al-Mutairi, in which she called for a revival of the Islamic law for sex-slaves.
Yet because she feeds into existing prejudices, she has received wide coverage. She is a columnist for The National UAE and EMEL magazine as well as a contributor to Guardian, the BBC and Channel 4 and writes an award-winning blog at Spirit21.co.uk. I told them that I had a question, since they were men who specialized in what was halal, and what was good, and who loved women.
To do so is considered by the cultures they inhabit – not by Islam – as one of the great taboos. Allah-willing, this will work out. Is it better for them to be slaughtered over there? Her solution to their uncontrollable libidos: buy women from war-stricken countries to be their sex-slaves. Our shari'a permits such a thing as this. Al-Mutairi recorded her position on sex slaves in a video which was broadcast on the internet.When the Russians did finally dominate their southern neighbours they were able to put an end to an injustice inflicted on their own population.
