nnA self trained designer, Nikasha Tawadey made her debut in the Indian fashion industry in 2006 with her eponymous label ‘Nikasha’.

She was also nominated for best Indian designer by Marie claire for the “Made in India” fashion awards in ’09. She stood out as one of the promising designers, with her designs gracing the racks at Selfridges in London and Macys in San Francisco. She was selected as one of the 4 designer team in September’08 to represent India in New York by Img/Lakme Fashion week and was awarded the “Elle Style Award” in December’ 08 for Contemporary India.

n Her aesthetic has been labelled as bohemian and vibrant, distinguishing her forte in structure, texturing of fabrics, colour and ethnic references.
