Akshay was the name of the character played by Kumar Gaurav. While rumors of a relationship with Priyanka Chopra followed his marriage to Twinkle Khanna, those speculations eventually subsided.
Akshay married Twinkle Khanna, daughter of Rajesh Khanna and Dimple Kapadia, on January 17, 2001.
