In every sense of the word he led an amazing life. His photography captures the beauty and color in nature. Yes, he was a nerd…….

 The entire watch face was in bits, just 0’s and 1’s, but he could tell time to the second with that crazy thing…….   You will be missed Mr. Reichmann.

I was lucky enough to have many a long dinners with Mr. Reichmann where he openly shared his experiences and insight to the conversations at hand. I do this through Rockhopper Workshops and other projects as well as teaching at my Gallery in Indianapolis.

My career in photography has allowed me to travel the world, meet some of the most interesting people on the planet and see things I could never have dreamed of. My goal is to share the passion of pictures taking through photographs and teaching with as many people as I can hoping it brings them as much joy and happiness as it has me.

The image above is from one of these dinners where Michael showed his watch that meant absolutely no sense to me.  He was a technician, a teacher, a publisher, an innovator, an entrepreneur, a philanthropist, and a photographer. He is the founder of the Luminous Landscape.

Michael Reichmann was born in England and has been both a professional photographer as well as avid amateur for more than 35 years.  His accomplishments are too long to list in a small blog post.  But most of all, thank you for your unselfishness in our industry and for creating a legacy that will continue to live on.
