Prior to working at Marie Claire, she wrote about celebrity and royal fashion at Page Six Style and covered royalty from around the world as chief reporter at Royal Central.

Borrallo started working for the royal family in 2014.

Borrallo, who is from the Spanish city of Palencia, reportedly joined the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's household in March of that year, when George was just eight months old.

The same insider also claimed that just like the late Princess Diana, there's the sense that Princess Kate occasionally worries her children are closer to their nanny than she or William.

Another palace insider quoted in the book shares that Maria is efficient, good with children and enjoys the "antiquarian" nature of her lifestyle.

In a recent episode of HELLO!'s A Right Royal Podcast, trained Norland Nanny Sarah Carpenter revealed how a particular nanny is chosen by a family.

Sarah revealed: "The whole process will be very, very confidential. When we were at college, we had different numbered sets.

Although Nanny Maria used to live with the family at Kensington Palace, Adelaide Cottage, where the Waleses moved in 2022, doesn't have room for live-in staff.

"I've spoken to nannies who have worked with other royal families and life is pretty normal," she shared. She's been covering royalty since 2018—including major moments such as the Platinum Jubilee, Queen Elizabeth II’s death and King Charles III's coronation—and places a particular focus on the British Royal Family's style and what it means.

Prior to leading the digital team at T&C, she served as the brand's Senior News Editor and Digital News Director, and has previously held positions at Travel + Leisure, DailyCandy, and Parenting Magazine. Everything about Norland and everything about the way we are trained and go out into the wide world was super confidential, so there is no book of either clients or nannies."

She added: "It's very, very much making the right match - and that's important, whether it's a high profile client or just a client like you and I."

After all, she's the one responsible for this incredible photo series of George peeking out the window at the Trooping the Colour parade in 2015:

She comforted one of the bridesmaids at Meghan and Harry's wedding.

What's a wedding without a few tears?

She's a graduate of the prestigious Norland College.

Located in Bath, Norland is well known for training the caretakers of the UK's most notable families.

"Her son George can count up to ten in Spanish already," 9-year-old Sayanna, who spoke with the Duchess, told the Telegraph.

She maintains a sense of normalcy for Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.

Borrallo lets the kids be kids.
