    When mainstream shoe styles were still dominated by clunky platforms in the 1970s, he revived the sleek stiletto heel. In 1965, he got his degree and moved to Paris to study art at the École des Beaux-Arts and Stage Set Design at the Louvre Art School, all while working at a vintage clothing shop.[4] In 1969, he moved to London to work as a buyer at fashion boutique "Feathers" and wrote for L’Uomo Vogue, an Italian men's version of Vogue.

    Born to a Czech father and a Spanish mother and born and raised in the Canary Islands (Spain), Blahnik graduated from the University of Geneva in 1965 and studied art in Paris.

    1 December 2018. His shoe collections are highly sought after in many countries. One factory produces classic footwear, another focuses on runway collections, a third caters to everyday wear, and the fourth specializes in athletic collections.
