His last carnatic release Turning Point (currently available only in USA) came in for critical acclaim & praise from John McLaughlin who reviewed this album.Rajesh's credentials include either touring or recording with some of the big names in the music business - besides his Guru & older brother U.
Shrinivas, there is Ustad Zakir Hussain, Ustad Sultan Khan, Louis Banks, Ranjit Barot, Mike Marshall, multi-percussionists Sivamani & Pete Lockett, Karsh Kale and Greg Ellis.He also performed live with the Johannesburg Philharmonic Orchestra and KNZ Philharmonic Orchestra.
He is currently working on his next album with Greg Ellis, Pete Lockett and the London Chamber Orchestra.

His birth name is Uppalapu Rajesh, but when he came to the music industry, he got the name Mandolin Rajesh. Rajesh was specially honoured by the President ofIndia in April 2007. He was inspired by him, and Srinivas was his first music teacher.
