I liked it.
I thought that the actors did a good job portraying such well-known and loved people.
Lucy’s growing screen presence eventually finds her under contract at MGM, a move that marks the next ascent of a star on the rise.
At MGM, she shares the screen with Red Skelton in a playful, high-spirited production of Du Barry Was a Lady, a partnership that helps sharpen her comedic timing and public persona. It seemed to dwell a bit too much on her relationship with Desi(which never really changed) instead of the other things going on in her life as she became more and more famous.
The acting was very good.
When she’s not performing Lucy’s comedy shtick however, York is hamstrung by an underdone script that deals with the rest of the story in a mostly perfunctory manner.
