Laritza Bacallao
Laritza Bacallao is a singer-songwriter born in Havana in 1987, highly acclaimed and influential in contemporary Cuban music. Her notable vocal talent allows her to perform a wide variety of musical genres, from son and guaracha, to bolero, chachachá and reggaeton.
Throughout her career, Laritza has shared the stage with important figures of Cuban and world music, including Omara Portuondo, Frank Fernández, Sergio George and Barbarito Torres of the Buena Vista Social Club, Orishas, Issac Delgado, Álvaro Torres and La India .
She will also be traveling to Brazil in July and hopes to perform in Florida, USA in September.
Visitors to the island can see her perform every Sunday at the nightclub Dos Gardenias" in the Havana Miramar district. In 2015 she was nominated in the Youth Revelation category for the Premios Juventud presented annually by the Univisión network.
