I am a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin’s School of Journalism and have bachelor’s degrees in journalism and in Spanish Language.

She was also a member of the Alpha Kappa Psi. As a journalist, Kris takes pleasure in being a life-long learner. She has been working with the station since January 2004.

Sanchez works with NBC Bay Area News where she serves the station as a Weekend Morning Anchor for Today in the Bay.

Prior to joining the NBC Bay Area News, she was working as a news anchor in Texas, Colorado, Los Angeles, El Paso, Fresno, and Grand Junction.

Previously, she also worked for Channel One News where she was working with the current events for middle and high school students across the nation. Prior to that, she served at Channel One News, a network that tells kids in middle and high school about what’s happening in the country.

There she obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Spanish Language and Broadcast Journalism. Sanchez and her husband enjoy cooking together and spending time with friends, family, and their bulldog named Mexi.
