      Koel Purie Rinchet was born on Saturday, 25 November 1978 (age 45 years; as of 2023) in Delhi, India.

      Once, in a media talk, she felt concerned about young Indian people who divided their minds on the basis of religion. She has also acted in the theatre production of A Taste for Mangoes (an adaptation of Willian Dalrymple's White Mughals). 

       

      She has written for publications such as Cosmopolitan, DNA, Harper's Bazaar, and India Today.

      According to her, in 2008, during the making of the movie “Rock On,” her friends noticed that she always had a bikini with her wherever she travelled. The reason why I did not write a book earlier, was that writing a book required a lot of discipline.
