Career

Keith Foo began his acting career in Indonesia after being scouted during a commercial shoot in Jakarta, making his debut in the 2009 horror film Mati Suri.

His early work included roles in movies like Paku Kuntilanak (2009), Bidadari Jakarta (2010), Pengantin Pantai Biru (2010), and X – The Last Moment (2011), where he often portrayed Muslim characters, leveraging his fluency in Bahasa Indonesia.

After a decade in Indonesia, he returned to Malaysia in 2012 to expand his career, landing roles in high-rated TV3 dramas like Ariana Rose (2013) as Tengku Adam Kamil and Love You Mr.

Arrogant (2013), each drawing over 4.5 million viewers.

His portrayal of a Muslim character in Ariana Rose sparked minor controversy due to his non-Muslim background but also highlighted his commitment to understanding diverse roles.

Foo’s versatility shone in subsequent projects, including Jodoh Itu Milik Kita (2013) with Farid Kamil, Kasih Whisper (2014), and She … Extraordinary Wife (2015) alongside Shukri Yahaya.

In 2015, he starred in Girlfriend Kontrak with Risteena Munim, earning the Celebrity Men Cool Body Shape award at the 2014 EH Style Awards for his on-screen charisma.

In 2024, he appeared in the Singaporean telemovie Raya Sempurna on MediaCorp TV Suria, expressing a desire to connect with Singaporean audiences.

Foo’s influence in Malaysian entertainment remains strong, with his multilingual skills—fluency in Bahasa Malaysia, English, Mandarin, Cantonese, Tamil, Hainanese, and Bahasa Indonesia—enhancing his appeal across diverse markets.

His entrepreneurial ventures include co-owning Mezza9 Restaurant, reflecting his interest in the food and beverage industry, which is rooted in his studies in hotel management.

An avid volleyball player, Foo has returned to competitive sports, balancing his creative and athletic pursuits.

The character was a Muslim and needed it to pray and read the Qur’an and this caused the dislike of a few parties as Keith was not a Muslim, when his acting career was concentrated in Indonesia, he had several times bringing the character as a Muslim.

Aside from taking various roles, Keith also engages in publishing. Back then, the high society stylist and Jakarta-based actor were friends for 11 years before they started dating.
