is a consummate artist, an accomplished musician and a noted songwriter and producer with several gold and platinum records under his belt. He has collaborated with Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds, the late Tupac Shakur, Nas, and AZ. Jon B. has several gold records to his credit: Bonafide, Cool Relax, and Are U Still Down were certified gold; Are U Still Down and Cool Relax later went platinum.

Born Jonathan David Buck in 1974, in Rhode Island, Buck is the son of David Buck, a professor of music at California State University, Los Angeles, and director of the Los Angeles Symphonic Camerata.

Jon scored a top ten video on the U.K. MTV/ TRL Top Ten with the song "Everytime (remix featuring Beenie Man) Jon co-produced with Just Blaze.

In 2001 Jon released his third album, "Pleasures U like," which featured several R&B and Hip Hop heavyweights, including Faith Evan's, Nas, Az, and Cuban Link.

"By the end of the tour, we had enough material for an entire album," he told Dana Hall in Billboard. "We just have a common vision." They named the band after a man from Amsterdam who they had met during the tour. As he grew older, he began listening to such musicians as Stevie Wonder, Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds, Mint Condition, and D'Angelo.

Through his father's friend Jack Elliott, the musical director for the Grammy Awards, Jon, who attended the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts, met executives from top record companies, but he couldn't get a deal with them.

He has collected such a good amount of money from his extensive musical career. Back in the late 1990s, the singer told Vibe Magazine about his attraction to his African-American wife,

His father is a Director of the Los Angeles Symphonic Camerata and professor of music.
