John needs a good therapy session. I was really hoping that John could be Hotel’s moral center but alas, it wasn’t meant to be. We’ll get back to this one.

John is on the hunt, but let’s be real here; he’s not wound too tight. His seedy hotel room also has a trophy closet, and boy is Mr.

March delighted to see John’s additions.

There were some nice moments in the “reveal,” I guess. But, right now the show seems to be moving along perfectly, even if it is a little bit boring.

American Horror Story: Hotel Recap: Lowe Blows

John Lowe

We don't have a biography for John Lowe yet.

Anyway, most of us figured out the John Lowe twist when he was invited to the Devil’s Night dinner with the rest of the serial killers. She's an avid reader, writer, and fire spinner. We still have four episodes before the finale. You know, if it’s not the butler, it’s the detective.

March, by the way, was responsible for two previous crimes: thou shalt not steal and remember the Sabbath Day, bringing our kill score to an impressive eight out of ten.

Just like Vijay, you probably knew that John Lowe was the Ten Commandments Killer. Are you as shocked as I was? Looks like John Lowe is the Ten Commandment Killer. However, just like with Torrance in The Shining, the Cortez didn’t create John’s homicidal impulses; it just brought them bubbling to the surface.

That was an entire month ago. I know American Horror Story isn’t known for linear storytelling, but I’d have preferred to keep this “secret” until the end. The guy’s eyes and tongue were cut out. I’ve gone back and forth on this from the beginning. In a moment I didn’t quite find as impactful as I should, John stabs Hahn for apparently dating and sleeping with his wife.

It’s like he figured out what was going to happen in the end, then worked backwards from there so that the story always tracked. John decides it’s a grand idea to confess to his partner, Hahn (Richard T. Jones). It’s like John’s addiction to her (and booze and whatever else) was allowing March to continue to control John, keeping him in this fugue state where he could operate without giving away that he was the killer.

Being a vampire must really agree with her.

The one part I didn’t completely understand is Sally’s role in all of this.
