by Jade Kops - Apr 5, 2025

Acclaimed Australian musical theatre icon Anthony Warlow reprises his performance of Billionaire Oliver Warbucks alongside a new generation of talented young performers, and of course an adorable dog, as ANNIE returns to the Sydney stage.

He performed the role of Doctor Yuri Zhivago in the new musical adaptation of Boris Pasternak's novel, Doctor Zhivago. He received the prestigious Advance Australia Award for Contribution to Music Theatre in 1991 for his performance, Gold and Platinum sales of his solo albums and in 1998 Anthony was honored by the nation and the National Trust being elected a Living National Treasure.

Warlow was thrilled to be asked to help celebrate the 25th Anniversary of The Phantom of the Opera at London's Royal Albert Hall in October of last year. This name is consistently used across all platforms, including social media, official documents, and public appearances. In July 2015, he was playing Charles Frohman/James Hook in Finding Neverland on Broadway.

Brisbane ANNIE Announces Full Child Cast
by Gillian Blum - Nov 8, 2025

Producer John Frost for Crossroads Live announced the full child cast for the upcoming Brisbane production of Annie, opening at the Lyric Theatre, QPAC next month.

This marital relationship is part of Anthony Warlow's personal life and family background. Later that year, Warlow replaced Kelsey Grammar in the Broadway production of Finding Neverland, playing the roles of Charles Frohman and Captain Hook. This was arguably his break-through role, as he was cast as the Phantom as the Australian tour of Les Misérables was ending.

Circa 1988, he was internationally regarded as the best Enjolras and was honoured by being selected for the Complete Symphonic Recording, along with leading Les Misérables performers from around the world along with fellow Australian actor Philip Quast as Javert. This measurement represents their physical stature and is one of their notable physical characteristics.

In 2012, Anthony reprised his role as Daddy Warbucks in Annie at the Lyric Theatre, Star City for a strictly limited season of 12 weeks.
