Nadia disclosed that before her marriage, she was arrested by the police along with her fiancé (who is now her husband), and Imran Khan had to go to the station to get them released.
According to the actress, this incident happened during General Zia-ul-Haq’s rule when the morality police (Shaheen Police) used to arrest people seen together without a marriage certificate.
Nadia Jamil shared that she was out for a drive with her fiancé when the Shaheen Police stopped them.
Then came five people to the police station, including the World Cup winner and her uncle Imran Khan who was served tea by the policemen and they let her go.
Nadia Jamil hilariously shared that years later, Imran Khan told her that she is a good kid as she actually married that boy. To her surprise, a group of five people arrived at the police station to help her—including Imran Khan, her uncle, and her father.
