Recordings include Ellen on the original cast recording of Miss Saigon (Germany), A Night at the Musicals with the London Philharmonic Orchestra and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Essentials with the Munich Symphony Orchestra.
Starring roles include Chess, Aspects of Love, Miss Saigon and Les Misérables, and her many appearances as Fantine in Les Misérables make her the longest holder of this role in the show’s West End history.
As a touring artist, Grainne has played Grizabella in Cats, Janet in The Rocky Horror Show, Mary Magdalene in Jesus Christ Superstar, Cinderella in Into the Woods and Eva Perón in Evita, among many others.
Her voice was so strong, she made IDAD into a real show-stopper.
Johanna from Sweden: She is one of the best Fantine's I have ever seen. By the way, I noticed that she changed her hairstyle for the Epilogue. I've seen her three times.
Hannah from London: Grania' performance (8th Dec) was fantastic. She frequently appears with the Danish Radio Orchestra and has performed the role of Florence in Chess opposite Tommy Koorberg for special studio concerts.
Granis was also invited by Sir Tim Rice to sing the part of Marie in Tycoon at The Synonton Festival. She grew into it more and more and obviously enjoyed playing that character. Her death was very moving too!!
Cristina from Italy: First time I thought she was simply good. It was like the hairstyle used in IDAD. I listen to her songs over and over again.
Her voice and the music were one thing, and that voice was so sweet.
Her IDAD was heartbreaking and her CTM and Epilogue were all brilliant. In the factory scene I think she was quite to "calm" and not very angry at the others. At the end of the Performance I was in tears.
Sue from San Diego, CA, USA: I love her voice! I would love to see her in a show.
Nicole from Germany: I loved her as Florence in CHESS.
I hope to see her much more often in grand roles !!!
