Hum Honge Kaamyaab Ek Din Lyrics: Hum Honge Kaamyaab Ek Din is popular Hindi song translated from the original english song ‘We Shall Overcome’.
‘We Shall Overcome’ is a gospel song which became a protest song and a key anthem of the Civil Rights Movement.
After a few years there, he moved on to join the then only television broadcasting organization of India, Doordarshan.
Mathur published his first collection of poems, Manjir in 1941.
It was during his service in Doordarshan that mathur translated the popular gospel and civil rights movement song "We shall overcome" into Hindi as "Honge Kaamyab" (होंगे कामयाब).
After obtaining his primary education in Jhansi, he was awarded a degree of M.A (English) and L.L.B from Lucknow University. This Hindi rendition was released in 1970 as a song of social upliftment and was often broadcast by Doordarshan in the 1970s and 1980s.
प्रारम्भ्कि संघर्षमय जीवन में इन्हें अनेक यातनाएं भुगतनी पड़ी, परन्तु दृढ़ता के साथ अपनी उन कठिनाइयों का निवारण करते हुए जीवन पथ पर आग्र बढ़ते रहे। इनके जीवन की दिशा स्वनिर्मित है। इस संदर्भ में इनकी जीवनी लेखक श्री कैलाश बाजपेयी ने लिखा है- ''गिरिजा कुमार ने इंच-इंच कर अपना रास्ता बनाया। पांच-पांच रुपये तक के प्रोग्राम किये।''

‘Amra Korbo Joy’ was translated by the Bengali folk singer Hemanga Biswas and re-recorded by Bhupen Hazarika.
Another version, translated by Shibdas Bandyopadhyay, ‘Ek Din Shurjer Bhor’ was recorded by the Calcutta Youth Choir and arranged by Ruma Guha Thakurta during the 1971 Bangladesh War of Independence and it became one of the largest selling Bengali records.
