   He succumbed to the disease seven months later, and died on 4 December 1993, Los Angeles, California.

   Zappa wouldn't have been what he was if his death had put an end to the flow of his works. Shortly thereafter, they moved to Claremont, then again to El Cajon before once again moving to San Diego. In 1952, his family relocated again, mainly because of Zappa's asthma.

   Although The Mothers of Invention, which transformed into an "electric chambre ensemble," disbanded in 1969, Zappa would lead professional ensembles and perform his own compositions throughout his career. The album included one complex instrumental, "Theme from the 3^rd Movement of Sinister Footwear," but focused mainly on rock songs with Zappa's sardonic social commentary satirical lyrics targeted against teenagers, the media, and religious and political hypocrisy.

   She's made it her job to parse the music industry's dense legalese, close contractual loopholes and, most significantly, end what she sees as its iron grip on an artist's past, present and future. Ingber left to form the Fraternity Of Man before the recording of the band's second album, Absolutely Free. From then on, Zappa would produce all albums released by the Mothers of Invention or himself.

   He graduated from Antelope Valley High School in 1958, and he would later acknowledge two of his music teachers on the sleeve of the 1966 album, Freak Out!

   He left community college after one semester, and maintained thereafter a disdain for formal education, taking his children out of school at age 15 and refusing to pay for their college.

Zappa's next solo album was Chunga's Revenge (1970), which was followed by the double-album soundtrack to the movie 200 Motels (1971), featuring the Mothers, The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, and, among others, Ringo Starr, Theodore Bikel, and Keith Moon.

Zappa was quite outrageously prolific in 1984: renowned French composer Pierre Boulez conducted Zappa's work on The Perfect Stranger; he released a rock album Them Or Us, which widened still further the impact of his scurrilously inventive guitar; Thing-Fish (its scenario was first published in Larry Flynt's Hustler magazine...) was a "Broadway musical" about AIDS, homophobia and racism; and he unearthed an eighteenth-century composer named Francesco Zappa and recorded his work on a synclavier.

1980s
