Foluso Phillips is a renowned industrial economist and business and management consultant.

and a Chartered Accountant of Nigeria with a degree in Industrial Economics from the University of Wales’ Institute of Science & Technology, Cardiff, Wales.

Mr. He held the position for two years before setting up Phillips Consulting Limited. He joined the British Gas Corporation as agraduate Trainee Accountant where he qualified as a Cost and Management Accountant in 1976.

In 1977, he joined the Lucas Electrical Company before leaving the UK for Nigeria in 1979 to work with the Pfizer Group.

Phillips has been engaged in the United Kingdom, Nigeria and other parts of West, East and Southern Africa as a financial manager, financial adviser, general manager and organisation development consultant, working in manufacturing and service organisations. He is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and a Chartered Management Accountant of the United Kingdom.

Several sectors in the Nigerian economy and personalities have benefitted from his experience in reputation management, organization development, general management, accounting, finance, and costing and management systems.

He has consulted for Government agencies and departments, ministries, banks, insurance companies, manufacturing companies and other organizations.

He holds a Bachelor of Science (Technology) degree in Industrial Economics and has management work experience both within the country and in the United Kingdom.

Mr. Phillips later took on a role as Management Consultant at Coopers & Lybrand International, a UK based company in 1985. He has steered the group with offices in Nigeria and South Africa for more than 25 years.

Phillips is a director of several companies, charities and NGOs in Nigeria.

He was a former Chairman of Nigeria South Africa Chamber of Commerce but now an ex-officio Director of the Chamber, Former Chairman of the Nigeria Economic Summit Group. He spent 6 years with Coopers & Lybrand International (now PriceWaterhouseCoopers) in the United Kingdom, working on a variety of assignments internationally.

He has also worked with the SCOA Group as the Group General Manager – Finance from 1990-1992.

He is the founder and Chairman of the respected Philips Consulting Limited, an industry leader in the provision of business advisory services, strategy development, training and human capacity management, corporate performance and recruitment services.
