Raub praised the album as containing well-crafted songs--particularly "Andy Warhol," "And Then She Says," and "Could've Been James Dean." Explaining the musical direction and influences on their songwriting, Jaron told Raub, "Back in the early 1970s, people liked the music because it was just a damn good song.
