60 years he gave to Scouting and he embodied the traditional values of Scouting: integrity, respect, care, belief and cooperation.
Today we gather to pray for the repose of the soul of Carlos Arboleya, who died two years ago this month at the young age of 91. Instructor American Institute Banking, Miami, 1967—1972, Bank Administration Institute, Miami, 1969—1972, University Miami School Business Administration, Miami, 1972.
Background
Arboleya, Carlos Jose was born on February 1, 1929 in Havana, Cuba. Executive vice president Fidelity National Bank of South Miami, Florida, 1966—1967, president, 1967—1973, vice-chairman board, 1970—1973. Bar: Florida 1989, United States Court Appeals (District of Columbia circuit) 1990. Member board advisory Duquesne University, Pittsburgh, 1972—1973.
And of course, his wife and son – who predeceased him – are among those who welcomed him home.
These past two years, with the global pandemic, social unrest, and economic uncertainty, have been a challenge for all of us.
As the spouse of Mary and the foster father of Jesus, he acted with integrity and respect. Assistant commissioner South Florida council Boy Scouts American, 1963—1966, member executive board, since 1962. President Owner's Box Promotions, 1993-1995.
Private practice Coconut Grove, since 1988. God counts on each one of us here to bring to fulfillment his plan of salvation for the whole world.
Son of Carlos Jose and Marta Aurora Arboleya. Master of Business Administration in Finance, University Miami, 1981.
Juris Doctor, University Miami, 1987.
Career
From teller to branch manager Barnett Bank South Florida N.A., North Miami Beach, 1975-1984. His belief led him to trust God even when he did not understand all that God was asking and he cooperated with God’s plan for the salvation of our fallen humanity.
God did not need Joseph to make Jesus – for he was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit; but it was Joseph whom God entrusted with the task of raising Mary’s son.
So when God wanted to bring to fulfillment his plan of salvation, he wanted to count on certain collaborators.
This certainly has been a time to re-evaluate some of our priorities. 1 child Carlos.
