She is also the younger sister of actor Kirk Cameron, whose starring role on the popular '80s sitcom Growing Pains provided the inspiration for her own screen pursuits.

Cameron Bure launched her acting career at age 5 with several national commercial spots. She co-hosted the daytime talk show The View from 2015 to 2016, and also competed on season 18 of Dancing with the Stars, where she finished in third place.
