Bachchan's father was the renowned Hindi poet Dr. Harivansh Rai. His mother, Teji Bachchan, was a Sikh socialite. He further generated income by co-owning OUE Singapore Slammers, an International Premier Tennis League (IPTL) team, in 2015.
