In 2013, Guru came out with six(6) singles titled AMEN, AZONTO BOYS FT LIL WAYN(Kojo Nkansah), ABENA, NKAWDA NKWADA, and others released Alkayida (Boys Abre) which has been a major saying till today.
Alkayida popularly known as “Boys Abre” has won the hearts of many Ghanaians because it served as an inspirational song for young men in Ghana and it has also become a political term as it was used by some politicians after the reading of the 2014 budget.
Guru is not just an artist but his peculiar lyrics and rhyme schemes have made him a success story in the Ghanaian music industry, a role model to his fans and his name will forever be remembered in the history of rap music.

Nacee Early Life
NACEE, whose real name is Nana Osei, is an award-winning Gospel Musician, Singer, Songwriter, and Producer from Ghana. Guru is regarded as an OG hiplife musician, as his tracks break new ground in the Ghanaian music scene by combining hip-hop, afrobeat, highlife, and dancehall sounds.
Guru’s first record was released in late 2009 with Ghanaian musician Sarkodie.
His first major feature, bringing him into the national spotlight, was on Obrafour’s song “Kasiebo,” where he was named best featured artist by 4Syte TV Music Video Awards. His father was a king at Barekese a suburb in Kumasi. Platform was nominated for six Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
He released the track “Lapaz Toyota” in 2011.
The same year he also released the single, “Karaoke.”
In 2013, Guru came out with six singles titled Amen, Azonoto Boys, Abena, Nkwada Nkwada and Alkayida known as “Boys Abre.”
He recently received a nomination for hiplife/ hip- hop artist of the year and best hiplife song of the year for “Pooley Swag” at the 2015Ghana Music Awards 2016.

Nana Yaw Adjei Yeboah Maradona popularly known in showbiz as GURU hails from “Nkoranza” in the Brong Ahafo Region, Ghana, He started his education at Rev.John Teye Memorial school, and continued to Apam Secondary then to NIIT and IPMC to pursue architect in computer networking,
Guru later furthered his education at Zenith College studying marketing.
His career in music was nurtured at a very tender age.
It was an ongoing process. The song became a smash after being influenced by Azonto-style sounds. He then went on to study marketing at Zenith College in Accra, Ghana.
Guru says his passion for music began when he was very young, but he did not pursue it as a vocation until he found himself playing at huge events while in school, such as Miss SSS, a Ghanaian national contest.
He had developed much interest in music as he started performing on big stages like the Miss SSS pageant that was during his time in Secondary School which coupled him with exposure.
As Guru’s music career continued to progress, he surfaced on Dr.Duncan’s program “Kasahari” on Adom Fm and also on “Rap attack” hosted by Upper Jnr.
on Hot FM.
Guru was the first winner of the WAPPI talent discovery 2008 artiste program held at the British Council for underground music artiste.
Guru was the first musician to win the WAPPI Talent Discovery Program, a national search for underground music artists, in 2008.
In terms of success, Guru is no exception to the list of Ghana’s most successful musicians.
EARLY LIFE
Guru was born in Accra, but grew up in the small town of Nkoranza, in the Brong/Ahafo Region in Ghana.
