[BS] For several years, I have followed the same routine: After breakfast, I start looking for the starting image.
The elegance of design in some of the less complex works is captivating. They succeed too well far too often to be merely studies and experiments that might as easily be thrown out as kept.
Then I consider the precedents of film and I recall movies where close ups of lips or eyes, sounds, music, flashes of other angles, other moments in time, in rapid succession yield a similar wholeness but move so swiftly that you don't have time to consider it.
I imagine that is a serious problem for a composer working on a symphony or a writer working on a long novel that will take a very extended time to bring to a conclusion. The awakening for wandering in the image and also to cause a visual disturbance, which in my opinion, gives life to the image thanks to the junction between the images and what happens to this shock or this transition.
I always thought that painting cared little about the real world, with a few exceptions, and my favorite artists were, for example.
They have to be combined the right way to strike the balance.
