In addition to being a member of the Senior Center, Barbara was also a member of the Italian American Ladies Bocce League. She married George T. Murray on June 27.   Married for 57 years, George died October 29, 2010. Though she and Pete never had children of their own, Barbara was thrilled to be an aunt, and later, great aunt to her many nieces and nephews and looked forward to seeing them.

In her free time, Barbara loved to stay active.

She fell even more in love with Pete as the years went on, with Pete being just as besotted as Barbara, the pair fiercely devoted to one another. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.

The Family will honor Barbara’s life by gathering on Wednesday, November 29th in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne where her graveside service will be held at 11:15 a.m.

The newlyweds made their married home first in Norfolk, Massachusetts, before purchasing their home in East Walpole in 1964.

Winters were spent hitting the slopes on Mt. Cranmore, and warmer weather meant teeing off at the Wentworth Golf Resort in nearby Jackson Village. Barbara married the love of her life, George Peter "Pete" Murray, on November 8, 1959, in her home parish of Blessed Sacrament Church.
