Born 12 January in Manila, Philippines, MiG's family moved to Sydney, Australia when he was aged 2, where he and his older brother Andrew were then raised.
Born on January 12, 1970, in the vibrant city of Manila, Philippines, this Capricorn rock singer has forged an extraordinary path, transforming from a budding musician in Sydney, Australia, to an internationally acclaimed performer. MiG continued a string of roles on many stage shows and tours, but it was when he moved back to London that things really started to take off.
Mig Ayesa became famous for his roles in two iconic rock musicals: Rent and We Will Rock You. This bicultural upbringing undoubtedly contributed to his adaptability and broad appeal, allowing him to connect with audiences from various backgrounds. MiG was quickly signed by Decca/Universal Music Group and his self-titled debut CD was released in the USA, Canada, Australia, Philippines and New Zealand in 2007.
Then with the addition of three originally penned tracks it was released in the United States and Canada in April of 2007.
In September of 2007, after moving to New York City, MiG took off again to reprise his role as 'Galileo' for the International Tour of WE WILL ROCK YOU.
Season 2025 includes a dynamic lineup of Australian performing arts with 9 events and 15 performances to attend. Following this, his role in We Will Rock You, the jukebox musical based on the songs of the legendary band Queen, allowed him to fully embrace his rock star persona, singing classic anthems to sold-out crowds night after night.
His performances in Rock of Ages resonated with audiences, solidifying his reputation as a commanding presence on the New York stage and cementing his legacy as a prominent rock singer in both the West End and Broadway.

Mig Ayesa’s career is not only defined by his solo work and theatrical roles but also by his notable collaborations and tributes to musical legends.
One such luminary is Mig Ayesa, a name synonymous with powerful vocals, dynamic performances, and a versatile career that spans rock music, West End productions, Broadway shows, and reality television. February 2013 MiG reprised his role as 'Galileo Figaro' for the 2013 WE WILL ROCK YOU 10th ANNIVERSARY WORLD ARENA TOUR, successfully completing runs in Finland, Denmark, UK, Ireland, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Czech Republic, Turkey, Bulgaria, and Croatia.
He was then chosen to join the London cast including a ROYAL VARIETY PERFORMANCE for Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II. MiG’s other West End credits include WE WILL ROCK YOU, RENT, THRILLER LIVE and SEASONS OF LARSON.
His Broadway credits include BURN THE FLOOR and ROCK OF AGES, which he also joined on the 1st US National Tour and in the Philippines.
The video for SHE LOVED was also released and was aired on MTV Asia and Channel V.
In September of 2008, MiG appeared in HANDEL'S MESSIAH ROCKS, which was released on CD/DVD fall of 2009, as well as airing as a PBS-TV special across the USA.
In October of 2009, MiG launched the 'call to arms' global campaign UNITED AS ONE, helping raise awareness and desperately needed funds to the people of the Philippines affected by Typhoon Ondoy, and consequently by following typhoons that continue to cause devastating floods.
In January 2010, MiG made his Broadway debut in BURN THE FLOOR, as well as in the months thereafter touring with the show to Australia, Japan, Korea, Canada, and USA.
In September 2010, MiG opened the 1st National Tour of ROCK OF AGES, as the legendary rocker 'Stacee Jaxx'.
March 2011, MiG returned to Broadway to reprise his role in ROCK OF AGES for the show's reopening at the Helen Hayes Theatre, New York City.
August 2011, MiG released his sophomore album entitled 'MORE THAN EVER'.
