During performances Amira has been working together with national and international celebrities such as British tenor Paul Potts, Dutch violinist and conductor André Rieu and his Johann Strauss Orchestra, Icelandic tenor Gissur Páll Gissurarson, South Africa’s winner of SA’s Got Talent 2010 James Bhemgee, prominent South African singers Jannie Moolman, Corlea Botha, the Kwazulu Natal Philharmonic Orchestra, Italian singer/entertainer Patrizio Buanne, and the Dutch Metropole Orchestra.
Behind the scenes Amira is working hard to extend her repertoire, professionally supervised by her singing coach.
During these finals Amira won -with more than 50% of the votes of the TV-viewers and audience- by performing Nessun Dorma from Puccini’s final opera Turandot.
In the spring holiday of 2014, the Starlight Classics Concerts at the Vergelegen wine estate in Somerset-West (near Cape Town in South-Africa) is Amira’s first international performance.

In 2015 Willighagen participated, on April 4, at the Sanremo Junior Festival in Malta, in September in the show “Superkids – die größten kleinen Talente der Welt” (“Superkids – the biggest little talents in the world”), broadcast by the German TV station Sat.1, where she performed “Ave Maria (Vavilov)” and in December in Madrid.
Two of the first public appearances took place in 2012, at the “Music makes Friends” festival in Colmschate (accompanied by her family) and as solo singer in the Emmaus Children’s Choir, singing a Dutch version of the song “Nella Fantasia”. After a period of acclimatisation to her new living environment and new school, she is now back to her normal activities, like singing and sports.
