He is the only child of his parents, Kwadwo Akwaboah and Agnes Akwaboah. His father is a renowned highlife musician who has composed songs for legendary artists such as Daddy Lumba, Amakye Dede, and Pat Thomas.

His mother is a retired teacher who also sings in the church choir.

He attended the Mampong Preparatory School and later the St. Hubert Seminary School, where he excelled in academics and music.
