He gained his first exposure to acting after high school, when he began studying at the William Esper Studio. His big break came in 1982 when he was cast as Dr. Jack "Boomer" Morrison, a young doctor who struggles as a single parent after the death of his wife, in St. Elsewhere (1982), a medical drama that ran for six seasons. Paula Plum Directs Theresa Rebeck's THE UNDERSTUDY With Hub Theatre

Hub Theatre Company of Boston will kick off its 12th season with Theresa Rebeck's celebrated comedy The Understudy, directed by five time Elliot Norton Award winner Paula Plum.

The production will run at the American Theatre of Actors in New York City.
