Rajakumaran is a Director in Tamil Film Industry since 1999.
After taking a short break to concentrate on another project named Devathai Vanthuvittaal, he started and abandoned the film Aanavam, which was supposed to star Sathyaraj, Khushbu, and Roja.
Following the triumph of his debut picture, R. B. Choudary offered Rajakumaran another opportunity to direct a movie under his production company. The project was titled as Vinnukkum Mannukkum with an ensemble cast featuring Vikram, Devayani, Sarathkumar and Kushboo.
During the making of the film, Vikram mentioned his displeasure at being a part of the film, claiming that he had arguments with the director for every single shot and that "everything in that film, right from the first shot was wrong. The film, after much delay, released to negative reviews in April 2013.
Rajakumaran married actress Devayani in April 2001 in a secret marriage at Thiruthani Murugan Temple.
The latest being S Rajamouli’s film ‘Vallavanukku Pullum Aayudham’, in which he played the role of Raj.

Indian filmmaker Rajakumaran has helmed Tamil cinema.
Along with his wife, they then launch another production Thirumathi Thamizh in February 2008, with Rajakumaran playing the lead role and Devayani starring opposite him. He then directed and also produced a film in 2003, named, ‘Kadhaludan,' starring Murli. After much waiting, the movie debuted in April 2013 to acclaim.
In April 2001, he wed actress Devayani in a covert ceremony at Thiruthani Murugan Temple.
The film received mixed reviews and became a box office failure, with a critic from The Hindu noting "director Rajakumaran has taken special care in the choice of songs and locations to make the film entertaining. The producer of this movie was R B Choudary, who gave another film to Rajakumaran to direct. The pair had fallen in love during the production of his first two films .
The pair have two children, Iniya and Priyanka.
The film featuring Parthiban and Devayani in the lead roles won positive reviews and commercial success, being described as "a film definitely worth watching" by a critic from Indolink.com, who cites that "it is bound to touch your heart and make you wonder about the power of love". With Vikram, Devayani, Sarathkumar, and Khushbu in the ensemble cast, the project was named Vinnukkum Mannukkum.
Vikram expressed his disgust at being involved in the film’s production during its development, saying that “everything in that film, right from the first shot was wrong” and that he and the director argued over each and every shot.
Additionally, Rajakumaran did not make use of Sarathkumar’s call sheets, which resulted in a delay in wrapping up the shooting, which took more than a year to complete.
A reviewer for The Hindu observed that “director Rajakumaran has taken special care in the choice of songs and locations to make the film entertaining,” despite the film’s mixed reviews.
He ought to have given the first half more thought, and more importantly, he ought to have made Vikram—who has potential—and Devayani—for whom it’s an easy task—work harder.
His next decision was to produce and direct the 2003 movie Kadhaludan, which starred Murali in the title character.
